News Release Article

Highlights of the news article include:

  • Because I live on Gillett Street, I sought multiple legal opinions, including from our municipal Town attorneys, prior to participating in the project decision.
  • A decision by the Board to ‘reclaim and repave the road surface’ saved $1.1 million, when compared to the alternative of reconstructing the road.  The decision represents a much better value for taxpayers.
  • The Board failed to take action on the Gillett Street project in May of 2023, when I (Jeff Ings) had recused myself from the project discussion.  The failure of two Board members to act at this meeting appears to have been a politically motivated decision to cause harm.
  • An ethics complaint was filed against me by individuals known to be associated with Tim Bantes, former Chairman Dave Schowalter and Supervisor Brad Gehring.  Because evidence shows the complaint to be politically motivated, hopefully commissioners at the Ethics Commission will find it to be frivolous.
